StoneCraft We are a small group of artisans practicing the craft of custom masonry. Our goal is to create one-of-a-kind works of stone and mortar that defy replication.
We are offering positions to skilled masons for $25 - $40/hr. Pay rate will be based on experience, skill, work ethic, reliability, and attitude. At least 5 years of masonry experience is required.
Generally, the $25 - $30 range will be for a highly skilled and motivated mason capable of joining any of our projects and being a productive addition to a crew. Basic masonry training should not be needed. At least 5 years of masonry experience is expected. (This is NOT a laborer's position).
The $30 - $35 range will be for an individual who can additionally take the lead on many projects without constant oversight. They will be able to communicate with both their supervisor and customers in order to see a project completed according to plan. This individual will be conscientious and take great pride in the outcome of their labors. They will be able to offer guidance to other employees as well as take instruction from their supervisor. At least 10 years of masonry experience is expected.
The $35 - $40 range is reserved for applicants with exceptional qualifications. Most applicants should not expect to fall in this range. A good candidate for this position will have leadership experience and potential. They will be able to handle a crew of masons, run a job start to finish, purchase and order materials, and ensure the highest quality of work in the StoneCraft name. At least 10 years of masonry experience, plus leadership experience or previous business ownership is expected.
(Note: Employees meet in Cresco, PA 18326 each morning)
Our business focuses on "finish" masonry and "custom" masonry. We do quite a bit of stonework, fake stonework, stucco, hardscaping, fireplaces, and that sort of thing. We also offer early stage masonry such as block and concrete but those account for a smaller percentage of our business. An applicant that is a good fit may have early stage masonry experience but will be able to handle the high-skill "finish" stages of masonry as well.
