Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant in READING, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for reviewing costing methodologies, conducting audits, and supporting financial analysis in the industry. This position is critical in ensuring accurate reflection of business activities and driving improvement opportunities.Responsibilities: Review and refine product costing methodologies to ensure accurate representation of manufacturing costs. Conduct regular audits of bills of manufacture to validate product costs. Work diligently to ensure monthly results accurately reflect business activities. Provide support for monthly financial analysis, forecasts, and budget preparations. Identify opportunities for improvement and drive them to completion. Actively participate in cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives. Maintain and update internal cost accounting documentation as required. Assist in the completion of special projects and reporting requirements as needed. Implement and manage the Annual Standard Cost and Standard Cost Accounting processes. Oversee the Month End Close process and maintain the General Ledger. Requirements Proficient in Annual Standard Cost Strong skills in Standard Cost Accounting Ability to handle Month End Close tasks Proficient in managing General Ledger Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel Experience with accounting software and ERP systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good organizational and time management skills Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
