HR Shared Services Representative

Description We are in search of an HR Shared Services Representative to join our team located in READING, Pennsylvania. This position plays a crucial role in delivering efficient, high-quality support for human resources functions within an organization. This professional typically works within a shared services environment, providing centralized support to employees, managers, and HR teams. Below is a detailed description of the role:Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, handling questions related to HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, and systems.

Provide accurate and timely resolution to concerns, escalating complex cases to appropriate HR specialists when necessary.

Execute administrative activities such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits enrollment, and maintaining employee records in HR systems.

Process and verify changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures and legal requirements.

Manage HR technology tools such as Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), ticketing systems, and self-service portals.

Ensure data accuracy by entering updates and auditing records in line with company standards.

Provide guidance to employees regarding company policies and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational values.

Support compliance efforts by managing documentation and responding to compliance-related inquiries

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field.

1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in a shared services or centralized HR environment.

Familiarity with HRIS tools.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Comfort working in fast-paced, high-volume environments while maintaining accuracy.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot and solve issues proactively.
