Make an Impact: Now hiring Maintenance Mechanic for a company that manufactures Alloy-based materials for multiple Industries. Located in Reading, PA.A day in the life of a Maintenance Mechanic can look like:Responsible for providing mechanical support and maintaining mechanical components throughout the manufacturing plant.
Troubleshoots job at the machine by observing machine operation and interacting with operations leadership and employees.
Responsible to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and process flow diagrams as needed to perform tasks.
Plans repair procedure by analyzing site conditions, blueprints, sketches, and other available information.
Orders stocked parts per departmental protocol.
Use mobile equipment as needed (cranes, forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
Perform mechanical work along with minor mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and crane/rigging.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment by inspecting for defects such as misalignments, wear, improper lubrication, etc.
Fabricate and/or repair parts as needed.
Use maintenance systems for researching and ordering parts.
Provide technical assistance to engineering in the design, repair, or improvement of equipment.
Operate in a safe manner and observes safety rules and guidelines.
Qualifications and Useful Skills:Minimum of three (3) years’ experience, preferably in industrial mechanical maintenance .
Degree from a technical college is a plus.
Able to read blueprints, operate vehicles, work from heights, and work in various environmental conditions is required.
A working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, and the ability to weld and acetylene burn, is preferred.
Experience with basic fabrications.
Experience in stick, mig, and tig welding techniques.
Work Schedule:Need to rotate on ALL shifts, rotating between them weekly
1st Shift 7am - 3pm
2nd Shift 3pm - 11pm
3rd Shift 11pm - 7am
