Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician performs electrical maintenance and industrial troubleshooting. This position supports the business with their knowledge of food processing equipment, knowledge in electrical/electronics such as PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics and troubleshooting, and CMMS & continuous improvements initiatives. Demonstrate high level of safety focus and awareness via maintenance actions and support within the facility. 2. Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to address and resolve equipment and manufacturing systems obstacles and mechanical/electrical issues. 3. Utilize technical skills and knowledge in electrical/electronics (PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics, and troubleshooting) to support continuous process manufacturing and achieve machine uptime metrics. 4. Troubleshoot problems and eliminate manufacturing constraints. 5. Establish positive rapport and provide proactive customer service to the operation team. 6. Maintain spare parts and document preventative maintenance activities. 7. Responsible for observing and following safety regulations and GMPs.
Position Requirements:3-5 years of previous experience in maintenance as an Electrician or Mechanic working with electrical, mechanical, and electronic equipment in a manufacturing facility preferred in a food processing environment · Experience reading technical drawings and schematics · Knowledge and practical applications experience in electrical/electronics, PLCs, A/C and D/C motors, drives and controls · Knowledge of the National Electrical Code · Knowledge of CMMS · Comprehensive knowledge of refrigeration and pneumatics troubleshooting and repair · Must have skills and abilities to work independently performing maintenance and repairs on facility and manufacturing equipment's · Good communications skills and team player · High school diploma or equivalent · Must be able to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime as required · Must be able to lift/carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs · Ability to work in refrigerated and wet environment · Must be able to communicate effectively in English
