POSITION: Quality Control Specialist (8-hr shifts)

  • Vacancy #1 = 1st / Day Shift
  • Vacancy #2 = 3rd shift preferred but other off shift options will be considered (2nd or a hybrid of 2nd/3rd)


COMPENSATION: $24+ per hour

ATTRACTIVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:

  • Education - HS Diploma or Equivalent (required)
  • Experience (3-5 years)in quality-basedroles (preferred)
  • Experience (2+ years) of gauge management and gauge calibration in a manufacturing setting (required)
  • Knowledge of cGMP documentation and change control (required)
  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO15378 or ISO13485 (heavilypreferred)
  • Experience and knowledge related to regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical and/or medical device industries (heavily preferred)
  • Experience and knowledge related toISO 9001, cGMP,LEAN manufacturing (heavily preferred)
  • Exposure to glass forming industryexperience (preferred)
  • Experience and knowledge using SAP (or equivalent)and MS Office applications (preferred)
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written / oral) including the ability to read/speak English (required)
  • Ability and willingness to work in office and in a production floor setting with moderate noise (required)
  • Ability and willingness to work in fast-paced, matrix structured organization (required)
  • Willing to work assigned 8-hr shiftwiththe flexibility to accommodate support ofa 24/7 manufacturing site (required)


SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES:Potential duties/responsibilities include (but are not limited to)…

  • Coordinatingand managingthe overall gauge managementand calibration requirements at the site (excluding DID and AIS)
  • Managingand maintaining the successful functioning of the QC electronic data collection data collection system (SINIC; SAP Quality Module) to include the creation or modification of product files.
  • Writingor assisting in the writing of test methods and forms related to the QC Specialist job functions
  • Training quality and production staff on proper use and maintenance of gauges.
  • Training new QC personnel
  • Assisting with Customer Complaint investigations as needed.
  • Participatingin customer and regulatory audits/inspections as needed.
  • Assisting with and support the execution of gauge Validation and Qualification protocols.
  • Interacting effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of responsibility.
  • Following cGMP
  • Performing other duties as assigned
