Commercial landscape maintenance company has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Landscape Manager.
Job Duties Include:
Supervise and mentor subordinate lawn care crews; Assist with lawn care; Ensure work is completed in accordance with contract specifications and performs quality control
Train crews on safety and proper lawn care techniques
Complete fertilizer, pesticide and herbicide applications according to contract specifications and manufacturer’s label
Manage and perform specialty landscape services including edging, mulching, landscape installation, shrub trimming, and insect and disease control of trees and shrubs
Schedule time sensitive contractual obligations
Manage and perform equipment preventative maintenance and minor repairs
Participate in snow removal as a site leader and/or equipment operator
Enforce company policies and procedures; Ensure subordinate lawn crews are kept staffed as required
Meet with on-site customer personnel to discuss performance and make recommendations to improve the site
Qualifications:
High School diploma, or equivalent degree
At least 5 years of landscape contracting experience with a focus on landscape maintenance
Supervisory experience
Ability to safely operate and maintain power equipment
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and ability to obtain/maintain a medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicles
Obtain and maintain category 6 and 7 Pennsylvania Pesticide licenses/certification
