Summary:
The Hershey Company's Hazleton Plant is located in the Humboldt Industrial Park and currently hiring Production Operators. Various positions are available across our three (3) production pay grades.
Grade 1
o Qualified Rate: $19.02
Grade 2
o Training Rate: $21.32
o Qualified Rate: $22.25
Grade 3
o Training Rate: $22.46
o Qualified Rate: $23.78

Production Operators are responsible for maintaining our highest quality of food safety standards, sanitation standards, and completing daily production paperwork.
Employees are required to be flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime and holidays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate processing and packaging equipment, perform routine and limited breakdown maintenance of production equipment
Monitor overall product quality, complete required checks as well as associated daily production paperwork
Clean and inspect equipment
Follow safety procedures
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Follow good housekeeping practices
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a High School diploma/GED
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Must be flexible to work any shift - 1st / 2nd / 3rd as well as 12-hour shifts
Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Basic computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years’ experience in a manufacturing / food manufacturing environment is preferred
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Standard Operating Procedures related to appropriate uniforms, gloves, shoes, hair nets, etc. is preferred
Experience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferred
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Ability to follow directions effectively
Ability to work independently within a team environment
Close attention to detail
Strong work ethic
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop and bend
Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and forearms for certain job tasks
Working Conditions:
Work will be performed within a manufacturing facility
The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to include but not limited to safety toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses/goggles, bump caps, hair and beard nets, and gloves
Wearing company issued uniforms is a requirement
Pre-employment testing and post offer drug screen/background check required.
