Job Description:The purpose of the Customer Service Manager is to provide support relative to planning, scheduling, work in progress, capacity planning, finished goods, inventory control, and data analysis.This position has the authority to interpret and communicate data to internal and external customers within the established guidelines.This position utilizes business system and customer knowledge to effective schedule the mold process to insure proper lead time for manufacture of parts to meet customer delivery dates.Key Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for planning the use of production resources (equipment, materials, tools, etc.) to satisfy customer requirements.

The position will work with Shipping to meet or exceed delivery goals outlined in Management Review using standard delivery methods where possible.

Effectively interpret scheduling data and work in process information relative to completion estimates.

Work with Operation to produce product at or below standard costs.

Optimize inventory; including proper safety stock, minimum balances, and the prevention of obsolesce.

Work to achieve inventory turn goals as stated in Management Review.

Train, direct, and evaluate customer service/planner staff.

Interact with support personnel to insure on-time delivery.

Effectively maintain software spreadsheets that are customer related.

Develop and revise applicable procedures and documentation.

Accurately observe, measure and record delivery performance as requested.

Act properly and timely when customer concerns are detected.

Review and process EDI information.

Analyze and interpret customer delivery requirements to differentiate between actual customer demand and forecast information.

Participate in scheduled production meetings as required and prepare production needs report daily.

Review expedite options with the logistics coordinator, as needed, to include price and delivery alternatives and determine the best option for expediting customer orders and get any required approvals.

Access customer websites as required to insure meeting customer measurement criteria.

Coordinate physical inventory and year-end inventory process.

Coordinate annually capacity planning with quarterly updates.
