Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is currently seeking Software Requirements and Test Engineers (Associate, Mid-Level, or Senior) to join the Mission Systems and Flight Controls Software Engineering team located in Ridley Park, PA.We work on multiple Boeing programs, including V-22, H-47, Enterprise DevSecOps, Space and Launch Systems, and many more. Developing, authoring, and maintaining requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems

Responsible for capturing and maintaining software systems requirements and traceability

Working with customers and peers to define requirements, such as understanding and agreeing upon the design

Developing test algorithms and strategies, and performing testing to verify requirements for software system

Developing software verification plans, test procedures, test environments, running tests and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

Responsible for designing and developing quality products, have strong communication skills, and are capable of working in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple projects concurrently

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Ridley Park site. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar engineering/computer/aerospace technical degree

2+ years of experience with software development, modeling, test procedure development, test execution and test reporting

2+ years of experience with C, C, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux

2+ years of experience and knowledge of the software engineering lifecycles and application of relevant methodologies and toolsets, including requirements software engineering lifecycles and application of relevant methodologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience with C, C, C#, Python, Java, Ada, or Linux

3+ years working in Agile software development framework

Familiar with DOORS

Familiar with DO-178C requirements

Familiar working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodology using MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429 standards

Familiar with model-based software development and testing methodologies, such as auto-code and test using Simulink

Typical Education/Experience:Associate (Level 2):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standardMid-Level (Level 3):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Senior (Level 4):Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
