Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a PRN RN for our Wound Healing Program/Clinic. Under the supervision of the Wound Care Director and the Medical Director, this individual coordinates the clinical services to provide consistent quality care for patients with wounds in inpatient and outpatient settings. He/she collaborates closely with physicians, pertinent health care professionals and Program staff. This position practices strong organizational, leadership, planning, implementation, and wound care patient evaluation and nursing skills. He/she works within the framework of the State Nurse Practice Act and follows all program and nursing philosophies and standards in the performance of job functions and responsibilities.Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is a 45-bed hospital that has serves rural and suburban populations in Roaring Spring, Altoona, and parts of Blair, Bedford, and Huntingdon counties. Provides direct care and oversees/coordinates total quality care. Monitors utilization and outcomes.Provides input on budget issues affecting efficient care delivery, judicious use of products, clinic organization and staffing patterns.Performs proper hand hygiene. Keeps updated regarding Medical Center changes through meeting attendance and review of posted information; attends briefs, debriefs, and huddles.Abides by and references the Employee Handbook and other pertinent facility policies, including clinical, non-clinical, safety, and infection control.Job Requirements:EducationGraduate of a RN program required.Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.Required Licenses:
Current nurse's license in the state of Pennsylvania or a current multistate license (MLS) from compact member states/territories required.Work Experience:Prior wound care experience.
Minimum three years' experience with direct hands-on care preferred.Certifications:Maintenance of current CPR Certification or BLS required.Wound Care Certification preferred.Required Skills:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
