Position Summary: This position will aid the Operating Room Team Members prior, during, and after surgical procedures. The main functions of this position will include maintaining a clean environment within the department and transporting. Education, License & Cert: This position has a minimum requirement of grammar school. This position also requires the ability to follow written and oral instruction. Experience: On the job training is provided for this position. Essential Functions:
Maintaining a clean, and organized environment
Uses the appropriate chemicals, supplies, or equipment when needed
Decontaminate operating room after surgical cases
Maintains storage rooms in a neat and orderly fashion
Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness for all anesthesia and OR equipment 6. Is authorized to access secured storage areas in the performance of essential job functions and duties.
Assists in the orientation of new employees.
Transporting patients and beds to and from the Operating Room (OR)
Demonstrates proper handling of anesthesia and OR equipment/supplies during transportation
Other Duties:
Recognizes and reports potential problems to the supervisor or nursing manager on the floor.
Demonstrates willingness to accept non‐routine work assignments as appropriate.
Transport patients/specimens; obtaining supplies/laboratory products
Complies with policies and procedures of the hospital/ nursing department
Represents the hospital in a professional courteous manner to others while being sensitive to how others perceive both verbal and non‐verbal communications.
