HR Generalist

This position is on-site and located in Hazleton, PA.We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented HR Generalist to support daily Human Resources operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for onboarding, employee benefits support, benefits billing and reporting, HR project administration, and providing responsive support to employees and managers.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal direction while managing multiple priorities. This individual should possess strong follow-through, sound judgment, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

This role requires a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with employee interaction and operational support.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEmployee Onboarding & HR AdministrationCoordinate and administer the full onboarding process for new hiresPrepare onboarding materials, track required documentation, and ensure compliance with hiring requirementsMaintain accurate employee records and HRIS dataAssist with employment verifications, personnel file maintenance, and HR documentationBenefits Administration SupportServe as a point of contact for employee benefit questions and supportAssist employees with benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and benefit changesCoordinate with benefit vendors and internal payroll/finance teams as neededSupport annual open enrollment processes and employee communicationsMonitor benefit eligibility and assist with audit activitiesBenefits Billing & ReportingReconcile monthly benefits invoices and billing statementsAssist with benefits-related reporting and data trackingPrepare spreadsheets, reports, and supporting documentation for HR and leadership reviewIdentify discrepancies and coordinate corrections with vendors and internal departmentsEmployee Relations SupportProvide front-line HR support to employees and supervisorsRespond professionally and confidentially to employee questions and concernsAssist with routine employee relations matters and documentationEscalate more complex employee issues appropriatelyHR Projects & Operational SupportSupport HR initiatives, process improvements, and special projectsTake initiative in identifying process improvements and operational efficienciesIndependently manage assigned responsibilities and follow projects through completionPrioritize workload effectively with minimal supervisionMaintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and confidentialitySupport employees with a customer-service-focused approach while maintaining HR compliance standards
