pride yourself in being a jack-of-all trades? The Laborer for a paving operation is an unskilled/semi-skilled position that performs a multitude of basic tasks related to paving: Â
General laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, patching or prep crews Â
Required ability to shovel, rake and handle other small tools.
Equipment cleanup as needed.
May be called upon to run small power tools.
Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other traffic control devices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate safe working practices and compliance with regulations.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures; assist with physical inspections of plant property/departments. This position will be based at Lake Ariel, PA. HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Â
General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalentÂ
Equipment maintenance & operationÂ
Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.Â
Ability to work different extended hours, holidays and/or overtime required
Physical Requirements:Â sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending (bending at the waist, lifting above the waist and lifting below the waist), kneeling, reaching, grasping (use of both hands), squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements with both hands, use of wrists (flexing or rotating with both wrists), use of both feet, use of arms above and below shoulder, work extended periods of time in same position, perform duties in all climates i.e. weather, extreme temperatures, tolerate heights, lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
