I own a building in Scranton, PA approx. 2800 sqft, which I am looking to rent out for small events. One of my tenants applied for an occupancy permit, and during an inspection, the inspector noted several ADA compliance issues, including:
Proper ADA signage (exit signs, bathroom signs, etc.)
ADA-compliant door handles
Steps and ramp modifications
Other minor accessibility requirements
I am looking for a licensed General Contractor (GC) who understands ADA requirements, can pull the necessary permits, and ensure compliance with zoning regulations to get the building approved for event use.
