JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:A Fitness Center Attendant is responsible for enforcing the rules and policies of the fitness center and the Game Room. They are responsible for monitoring the fitness center and all the participants. Additionally, they are required to monitor and maintain the facilities' occupancy limit and social distancing policies. They must learn how to correctly use the machines and be able to provide assistance when needed. Additional responsibilities may include cleaning the machines and cardio equipment after each use, practicing good customer service and applying risk management skills. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide a safe environment for participants
Develop knowledge of fitness components i.e.: personal training, group fitness, etc.
Knowledgeable on how to correctly use and adjust machines
Provide customer service to the patrons
Submit reports for broken or damaged equipment
Ensure patrons are swiping in at the door
Clean and maintain the fitness center
Perform other duties assigned by Student Affairs staff and supervisors
Be able to move up to 45 lbs. with or without accommodation
Be asked to assist in the Student Affairs Office
Be required to open and close the Game Room
