Support the delivery of financial statements and financial reporting for all responsible legal entities in the Volvo group consolidation system.
Maintain accounting records for legal entities in accordance with International Accounting Standards and Volvo Financial Policies and Procedures
Support financial compliance requirements and federal, state and local compliance requirements
Ensure accounting records are accurate and convertible to Local GAAP for tax and legal purposes
Ensure a quality process is maintained for monthly, quarterly and annual closings for responsible legal entities
Assist Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable associates, as well as other Team members
Main tasks and responsibilities
Research and analyze accounting matters and determine impact on legal entity financial results
Evaluate current accounting policies and procedures and interpret current and projected legal entity financial position.
Support development and implementation of proper financial compliance controls
Support development, implementation, and maintenance of adequate internal control structure and procedures for accounting and financial reporting process
Perform daily control and monitoring within all relevant accounting processes in the legal entities
Support compliance with internal control objectives, local GAAP, Internal Accounting Standards and FinancialPolicies and Procedures
Develop and maintain accurate financial information that feeds the consolidation system and provides reportsto local company and other authorities
Represent, where required, Accounting& Financial Control in legal entity forums/decisions regarding accounting,statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entities
Support identification of issues, solutions, and monitor status to continually improve the month-end closingprocess and ensure quality of legal entity financial reporting
Implement changes in accounting policies and reporting requirements to ensure validity and integrity of legalentity reporting
Analyze and reconcile legal entity general ledger accounts
Provide local management with accurate, timely and meaningful financial information for decision supportwhere assigned
Participate in monthly end closing process, business consolidation system reporting and preparation for annualaudit
Facilitate audits for the legal entity including the mid-year and the annual audit process with external auditors
Ensure that the Disclosure Checklist, or similar tool/checklist is completed
Ensure liquidity forecast and transfer pricing are completed

Required knowledge, experience, education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or Business required
3-5 years of professional experience gained in accounting area in an independent position required
Preferably experience in accounting within Volvo Group
Preferably Manufacturing / Operations accounting experience
Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
Professional certification and tax experience a plus (i.e., CCRA, CRC, CPA, CMA, etc.).
