The teaching load is 24 credits per academic year. Faculty are expected to maintain a scholarly agenda. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in teaching, service, and scholarly growth with the ability to teach a variety of courses ranging from service courses to advanced mathematics courses. Exemplary service to the university that extends beyond the classroom is also expected. Highly competitive salary commensurate with experience level.Minimum Qualifications PhD in mathematics or applied mathematics is required prior to employment. Preference will be given to applicants specializing in applied mathematics that complement current faculty expertise including numerical analysis, mathematical biology, and data analytics/science. Candidates must also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively.The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the education of diverse populations. Successful performance in an on-campus interview, including teaching demonstration, is required.Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to candidates with prior college level teaching experience, evidence of a scholarly agenda, and experience conducting faculty-student research.
