The Hiring Manager for this position is a Field Supplier Quality Engineering (FSQE) Team Lead managing a diverse and geographically dispersed team of FSQE’s positioned from Maine to South Carolina. Responsible for managing the quality performance of 700+ manufacturers supplying material and parts to Raytheon? This position represents the pointy end of the spear in Raytheon’s efforts in delivering high quality state of the art defense systems to our customers and seeks individuals who thrive in a diverse, independently driven and technically challenging work environment.What You Will Do: The Field Supplier Quality Engineer (FSQE) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon and the external supply base and is charged with ensuring compliance to Raytheon part build specifications, quality requirements and working to improve the Quality performance of the assigned supply base.Additional responsibilities:

Interpreting purchase order quality requirements and ensuring supplier understanding and compliance

Assessing supplier quality capabilities throughout the program life cycle to ensure program objectives

Identifying supplier risk and systemic performance issues and devising and implementing corrective actions

Manage/Oversee Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to ensure thorough RCCA processes and results are arrived at

Drive continuous process improvements using statistical / analytical tools such as Six Sigma and lean methodologies

Working seamlessly with other Quality functions and Cross Business Teams (CBTs), to affect rapid closure of issues

Ensuring Subcontract Data Requirements List deliverables are met

Support First Article Verification/Validation

Maintain cognizance of Source Inspection requirements and activity

Facilitate meetings with suppliers and other functional members within Raytheon

Assist in implementation and understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) elements within the supply base

Execute Supplier Engagements in support of all of the above

Represent Raytheon professionally by exuding Raytheon Technologies Vision, Values, Strategy and Goals to our supply base

Location Information:

This position covers an assignment as a Principal Field Supplier Quality Engineer in Central Pennsylvania region and surrounding areas and is fully remote. Visits to local Supplier facilities will be routinely required. A home office will be maintained in Central Pennsylvania area.Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree with preference for concentrations in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Quality Engineering and 3 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience utilizing one of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent Preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, etc.

Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes - RCCA

Previous experience with commercial and/or aerospace / defense regulations and standards or a commercial equivalent - i.e. AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, AS9145

Experience conducting hardware inspection techniques

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)

MS Engineering / Technical or MBA

Proven successes in building and maintaining balanced relationships with multiple suppliers / customers and Raytheon functional entities

Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery

General Statistical Process Control knowledge, including implementation

General knowledge of aerospace / defense products and systems technologies

General knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) from an area that is geographically located within a specified area. An employee may be expected to travel to the parent Raytheon site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
