Successful completion of CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement training and testing will be required. As a Part-Time Bus Operator at CATA you will be working with a team of dedicated employees who are committed to providing excellent service to all of our staff and customers. Some pertinent responsibilities of the position are listed below.
Safe and timely operation of a transit coach in all types of weather conditions while in compliance with FTA policies/procedures and all Federal and State traffic laws/regulations
Tactful and courteous interaction with riders, other motorists, and the general public
Maintain working knowledge of streets, current bus routes and stops, fare structures, and bus pass programs
Comply with ADA requirements to properly operate the accessibility ramp and wheelchair lifts, safely secure passengers, and make required stop announcements as needed
Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections
Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly as needed for pre-trip/post-trip, incidents/accidents, and maintenance repair forms
Work a flexible schedule up to 26 hours per week that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and split shifts
Performs related tasks as required

Trainee Rate: $19.15/hr, Salary for Year One: $20.50/hr, Year Two: $23.18/hr, After Year Two: $25.87/hr
