POSITION TITLE: Part Time Laundry AideSHIFT: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; 2 days per week + Every Other WeekendQUALIFICATION STANDARDS:1. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: requires demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, safe and orderly laundry area, and ensure that laundry and linen supplies are readily available to meet the daily needs of the residents. Position requires prolonged standing, frequent stretching, bending and lifting, pushing of soiled and clean linen carts; lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
Experience: Prior laundry experience preferred.

Collect, sort and wash soiled laundry, linens and garments.2. Separate out all items that require special stain removal and treatment.3. Supply "ambulance linens" as necessary.4. Maintain laundry name tags on resident laundry (per facility policy).5. Fold, sort and distribute clean laundry and linens.6. Press or iron linens as necessary (tablecloths, napkins, etc.).7. Press or iron resident's personal laundry as necessary and hang on hangers.
Distribute resident personal laundry appropriately.
9. Inventory linens, pull stained, threadbare, or frayed linens from daily circulation.10. Replace washing chemicals as needed. (May require some lifting of heavy dispensers.)11. Maintain resident laundry area in an organized manner.12. Maintain infection control standards of practice.14. Mend clothes as necessary.15. Efficiently uses chemicals and supplies.16. Cleans lint compartments daily.17. Practices safe working habits.
Cross-train staff in the HSK Department as instructed/needed.
