EXPERIENCE:

1. Food Service experience.CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Prepares and cooks foods for patients, employees and catering functions, including measuring and mixing ingredients, adjusting thermostats, monitoring food at all levels, etc.

Participates in the assembly and service of patient and non-patient meals, including stocking and serving the patient tray lines, taking food temperatures, preparing and serving in cafeteria and special functions, etc.

Cleans and sanitizes dishes and pots.

Operates and maintains cash register. Ensures that register skips balance.

Sets up and replenishes salad bar. Maintains cleanliness for cafeteria.

Provides patient service related clerical duties.

Assists in cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.

Verbalizes the specific ages of patients served within the Hospital and can make application when necessary.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to apply principles of reasoning and problem solving to resolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
