As an incoming team member in the Office of the Budget and Finance, it will be expected that all employees embody and modelPenn State'sandFinance and Business'scommitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.The Office of Budget and Finance is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a commitment to teamwork to join The Office of Physical Plant (OPP) at University Park Payroll Department as a Floating Financial Associate (Senior Support) with primary focus on supporting Commonwealth Campuses. The successful candidate's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Monitor and manage payroll deadlines and related data submissions on a bi-weekly basis to ensure accurate and timely payroll for Commonwealth Campus Facility Technical Service employee population.
Cooperate and coordinate with multiple departments to strengthen partnerships, resolve issues, and identify and implement process improvements to gain efficiency and accuracy related to OPP Payroll.
Perform various bi-weekly/monthly audits related to payroll processing.
Collaborate with University WorkLion Team (WMO) to identify process improvements and provide specific information about the payroll process to ensure that ongoing enhancements to the Physical Plant payroll programs are in accordance with University guidelines and the needs of the office.
Advise on policies and procedures as they relate to accurate and compliant payroll processing.
Provide exceptional customer service utilizing email, Microsoft Teams and telephone inquiries.The successful candidate for this position must possess:
Advanced knowledge of Excel and data management skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, and self-management.
Ability to communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently, and within a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences.Education and Experience:
This position will be filled at the Senior Support level and minimally requires an Associate's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. This position is intended to initially support the unit(s) and functions listed in this p sting, however it is expected to evolve over time relative to the overall restructuring.
