Media outlets and independent observers regularly rank the Smeal College of Business among the best institutions in the world,and Penn State World Campus has been a recognized institution in U.S. News and World Report's annual rankings of Best Online Programs since 2017.An overview of the portfolio including lists of core/advanced courses can be found here:https://www.smeal.psu.edu/pgp.TSSs are professionals in their respective fieldswith the appropriate background needed to assist with engagement of professional students and application of course concepts to contemporary business. Duties include but are not limited to assisting the lead instructor with feedback/grading, facilitation of discussion boards, moderation of live sessions, and course innovation. Additionally, TSSs will assist students with technical and course content issues upon request. The position requires competency in the application of principles and practices essential to modern business.A Master's Degree or equivalent education and experience is required. Individuals who have completeda Penn Stateonlinemaster's or graduate certificateor similar education are preferred.Teaching Support Specialists work remotely from any location within the United States and will typically work 10-12 hours per week (average) on a contract basis.
