DescriptionJOB SUMMARY
Manage assigned programs including applying standards and consensus procedures, reviewing audits and communicating about and resolving problems with audit reports working with Task Groups, staff engineers, auditors, suppliers, management, etc., to result in PRI success.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage at least two commodities/programs including establishing and ensuring application of best practice programs and procedures.
Ensuring audit reports for assigned commodities are properly reviewed compliant with policies and procedures.
Manage assigned staff engineers including, selection, performance management, employee relations, etc. (minimum 5 staff)
Manage program level activities of independent contractors to ensure effective program execution.
Manage assigned budgets including, projections, regular review, approvals, etc. ($2-5M)
Play direct strategic role in supporting management councils, committees, sub teams or major projects.
Manage coordination of multiple projects/processes simultaneously with very tight deadlines and strict procedural requirements.
Independently staff an NMC committee or sub team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent.
12 years experience in related industry.
5 years supervisory/management experience.
Problem solving skills to deal with large number of professionals in varied circumstances.
Ability to influence and motivate groups to maintain processes that can make or break organizations/business.
Ability to mobilize resources by identifying and deploying the people needed to achieve results; knowing where to go to get information and resources.
Demonstrate business management skills and experience including a general understanding of contract/business law, environmental regulations and budgeting/accounting.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to operate a Computer, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Staff Engineer experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to travel at least 25% of the time.
Ability to read/review documents.
Ability to work for long periods at a computer/desk.
Standard office environment.
