Lintons Food Service Management, a Top 50 Contract Food Service Company has exciting Full Time opportunities for food service associates in Danville to join our team in our Juvenile Justice Division.
Position Summary:
The food service position assists in the preparation and service of meals.
Qualifications:
You must have excellent communication skills for both internal and external customers. Must have high sanitation standards and practices, and a passion for quality food. Requires a basic knowledge of food preparation. Serv Safe Certification a plus. Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
The Food Service Associate performs a variety of food service functions while maintaining clean and sanitary conditions. Assist in the preparation of food including preparation of fruits, desserts and snack items. Maintain kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner. Present food in an appealing manner according to the Food Presentation Policy. Serve customers and guests in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner. Follow posted Sanitation Schedule and ensure a clean and organized work area at all times. Maintain confidentiality of resident information and staff employees. Other duties as requested by Shift Supervisor of Food Service Director. Must complete and participate in Lintons company trainings, In-Services and Safety training programs.
Competencies:
Knowledge of food service sanitation and proper food handling
Ability to use industrial equipment and knowledge of basic equipment maintenance.
Effective oral communications with management, employees, residents and client staff.
Ability to read menus and recipes.
Ability to use proper judgment and to maintain confidential information.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to accept direction and adhere to operating and safety polices and procedure.
Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time.
Ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds.
Understanding of MSDS and ability to properly use and maintain chemicals.
Ability to work within deadlines.
