Ulmer Farms in Lock Haven, PA has an immediate job opening. Ulmer Farms produces row crops and processing tomatoes in Clinton County. We are seeking a candidate interested in a long-term position on a family farm with experience working on later model equipment in a row crop/vegetable processing operation.
Responsibilities: Position will involve working in every aspect of raising row crops and processing tomatoes with primary responsibilities in operating, maintaining, repairing, and fabricating equipment through all seasons and stages of farm operations. This includes, planting, spraying, fertilizing, irrigation, harvesting and hauling all crops. Crops include but are not limited to corn, soybeans, tomatoes, and wheat.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with ag technology, GPS Systems, equipment repair, welding, and fabrication is valued but not required. Candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team. As a family farm, both will be required throughout the year.
Required Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old to apply with a valid driver’s license. The agriculture industry professional references are required.
Compensation Range: This is a competitive hourly position and will be based on experience. Hours are highly variable based on the season. Planting and harvest seasons are often 70+ hour weeks and off seasons are typically 40 hours per week.
