You'll be responsible for successfully implementing bid strategies while educating and providing technical support to engineers, owners, DOT agencies, and consultants to solve infrastructure construction problems.What You'll Do
Assist and support the qualification of proprietary systems by successfully implementing bid strategies to close business
Act as a liaison between the Engineering Department and the client to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and execute a business development plan focused on transportation, private development, commercial projects and infrastructure construction
Generate monthly reports to the Area Director to track key projects in each sector and forecast sales for manufacturing
Conduct business review meetings with customers and report customer information internally through call reports
Maintain prospect list and detailed quote log to track success rate
Make customer visits and attend conferences as needed to better understand industry needs and develop markets
Demonstrate all phases of the sales cycle, including prospecting, acquiring, identifying and qualifying customersWhat You'll Need
Ability to travel regionally between 25% - 50% of the time
Minimum 2 years work experience in heavy civil, bridge, or concrete construction projects required
Minimum 2 years sales experience a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, and a self-starter
Exceptional organizational, prioritizing, and time management skillsYour Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
