Manpower is currently assisting a local company in York, PA for a Specialty Knife Machine Operator. As a Machine Operator you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.Pay for this position will be $15 an hour plus overtime as needed. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity with an outstanding company!We have an opening on 1st shift 7am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.Job RequirementsAs a Machine Operator you must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate well with management and fellow employees.Ideal candidates have very positive attitude and previous experience.Other requirements of the role include:
Preferred 1-year machine set up & 2-years working with metals
All applicants must have steady work history with a good attendance record
Ability to repeatedly lift and/or move 20lbs
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and good math skills
Experience in minor machine maintenance
Knowledge of operating and programming CNC controllers
Experience in setting up machines with jigs and fixtures
Must be able to meet physical demands including standing for extend periods, walking, bending, kneeling and reaching
Manufacturing and/or metal fabricator experience
High School or GED required
