Maintenance Technician A - 2nd shift - R4629
Hours are 3:00pm to 11:00pm 2nd shift has a 2 dollar shift differentialDESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
2. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines
3. Assure vendors follow the Menasha Contractor Safety guidelines and keep current on annual orientation
4. Provide ongoing communication regarding work orders in process and status of various projects
5. Complete scheduled work orders electronically and monitor results
6. Assure weekly that the maintenance area is organized and paperwork signed (includes maintenance office and maintenance storage locations)
7. Enhance internal and external department communication toward creating and maintaining a cohesive work environment
8. Discuss maintenance concerns with maintenance manager and/or lead
9. Proactively communicate problems encountered to applicable areas
10. Provide electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
11. Perform preventive maintenance duties and provide accurate documentation of such duties
12. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
13. Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives
14. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisorsStrong electrical background: Would Prefer a candidate that would know 3 phase 480 VAC all the way down to 12V DC control wiring and trouble shooting. Basic understanding of electrical drawings and understanding the use of a Multimeter.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
Wires and installs AC/DC motors, drives, racks, and motion control equipment.
Electrical trouble shooting using the proper tools and PPE.
Controls downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Uses computer system to document work and account for parts.
Communicates with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Ability to use rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Ability to operate equipment including machines, alignment tools, high lifts, forklifts, boom lifts, scissors lifts, etc.
Knowledge of AC/DC circuits, motors and drives, PLC, and instrumentation and process controls
Prefer working on Printing industrial equipment.
