Join a tight-knit, efficient, deadline-driven team as a Warehouse Coordinator with an industry-leading electrical contractor. In this role, you will provide crucial support to every department and line of business at IB Abel by maintaining, distributing, and delivering invaluable tools, equipment, and resources.We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills, an eye for detail, comfort with equipment/inventory control, and someone computer savvy to join our team. You will be based out of our operations center in York, PA with some flexibility to work from other locations as needed.
Some travel (as necessary) to other operations centers, offices, and yard locations, and also to attend training and offsite team building meetings. Occasional overnight travel will be included.Essential Functions/Duties:
Tooling Responsibilities:
Tooling responsibilities to include support for our electrical, utility, and communication lines of business
Maintain and update records via the Vista software program
Ensure execution of all tool transfers and maintain knowledge of the current locations of inventory
Respond to and fill all requests for tools and equipment. Requests are mostly generated by Project Managers and field personnel.
Fill requests and communicate the expected delivery date.Warehouse and Delivery Responsibilities:
Maintain daily and weekly schedule of deliveries to be made in the most efficient manner possible while adhering to job delivery deadlines
May have to make deliveries if no other resources are available
Manage stock control - receipt, storage, and retrieval of goods
Maintain the security of the building and stock.
Ensure that all warehouse and logistics health and safety requirements are met, including:
Load securement
Roadworthiness
Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and the surrounding area.Work Request (WR) Coordination and Responsibilities:
Tool and Consumable WREducation, Skills, Experience:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Self-starter/motivated individual who works independently
Driver record free of moving violations or accidents and the ability to drive company vehicles safely
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word required
Above-average computer skills with database experience
Working knowledge of heavy equipment, trailers, warehousing equipment, and vehiclesDesired:
Valid CDL is strongly preferred
Over five years of work experience in the Automotive, Truck, or Equipment Field
Specific expertise in both heavy equipment and boom-equipped vehicles (i.e., aerial devices)
