Job Description:
Growing construction company in immediate need of efficient, safety-minded General Construction Laborers. Applicants must have construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation as the current project requires travel to and from the job site located in Bethesda, Maryland, with travel time being approximately 1 ½ hours to and from site. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The ideal candidates will be capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely and adhere to project deadlines. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.
Current job site entails a daily Federal Security Clearance check before entry to the jobsite.
Laborer Responsibilities and Duties:
Execute required tasks assigned. Must be deadline oriented.
Climb to heights and conduct work with proper safety restraints
Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs and navigate construction job site terrain
Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site
Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew
Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew
Laborer Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma/GED preferred
2+ years construction industry experience preferred
Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures
Valid Drivers License
