Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Manager to manage our York warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring timely delivery of goods, loading and unloading trucks for delivery, optimizing logistics processes, fulfilling orders for walk-in clients, doing small deliveries and maintaining excellent relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Walk-In Sales
Customer Engagement: Provide professional, friendly, and prompt service to customers visiting the warehouse, assisting with product inquiries and orders.
Sales Support: Assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs.
Order Management: Process customer orders accurately, ensuring all necessary information is captured, and confirm product availability.
Product Knowledge: Maintain an understanding of the products we offer, including specifications, uses, and benefits, to confidently assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
Logistics Management
Order Fulfillment: Coordinate order processing, picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer expectations.
Shipping Coordination: Oversee logistics for customer deliveries, including coordinating with third-party carriers or internal fleet for timely and accurate deliveries.
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any logistical issues that may arise, such as shipping delays, incorrect orders, or inventory discrepancies, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouses to ensure optimal stock levels.
Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, including safety and environmental standards.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to transportation, delivery, and inventory management.
Budget Management: Manage logistics budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a warehouse or counter sales environment.
Qualifications:
Worked in the Green Industry
Excellent leadership skills.
Proficient in QB.
