Automotive Lift Service is seeking Service Technicians to join our team! This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of automotive lifts and various other shop equipment. The pay range for this full-time position is $18.00 to $25.00 per hour, with opportunities for overtime, plus per diem available when travel is required. Technicians work a 4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Install and repair automotive lifts.

Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment.

Perform routine preventative maintenance.

Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion.

This position includes overnight travel 2-3 times a month, with 1–3-night stays, per diem eligible.

Work towards completion of the Automotive Lift Institute Inspector Certification Program. Training will be provided, and completion of the program, including testing is required to perform Certified Lift Inspections.

Always promoting the brand and selling offered automotive equipment and/or additional services required when appropriate.

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

High School diploma required.

Technical degree or certifications in a related field preferred.

Prior experience in an automotive repair shop or garage and or experience as a car/truck mechanic.

Licenses or Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License required.

Commitment to successfully obtain ALI Lift Certified Inspector status (company funded).

Ability to attain DOT Medical certification.

ASE certifications a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to handle physical workload of up to 100 lbs.

Ability to work on ladders and scissor lifts up to 25ft.

Strong mechanical aptitude.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge of electrical systems, pneumatics, and/or hydraulics.

Basic knowledge of the fuel and lubricant industry helpful.

Knowledge of industrial, automotive, commercial, mining and construction industries is not required, but a plus.

Ability to read schematics and use the appropriate testing devices proficiently preferred.

Comfortable working in all types of environments.

Team player who can also work independently.

Ability to handle customer interactions professionally.
