On a day-to-day basis, you will:Prepare, cook and present menu items to a high standard across breakfast, lunch and dinner serviceEnsure food is prepared and plated consistently in line with recipes, presentation standards and service expectationsAssist with daily food preparation and service in a fast-paced commercial kitchenMaintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environmentFollow food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures at all timesContribute to stock rotation, storage and minimisation of food wasteWork collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periodsSupport the delivery of seasonal menus and daily specialsWhat you'll bringPrevious experience as a Cook or Chef in a busy commercial kitchen, café, restaurant, bistro or hospitality venueAbility to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practicesA genuine passion for food, quality and presentationExcellent teamwork and communication skillsReliable, positive attitude with a willingness to jump in where neededFlexibility to work afternoons, evenings, weekends and public holidaysFood Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)Relevant commercial cookery qualificationsConfidence working across multiple sections during serviceWhat’s in it for you?At the NRMA we aren’t just about discounts (although you do get these too).
