Primary Responsibilities:

Work with Director of Operations and other terminal managers to create an operating plan that delivers best in market customer experiences while seeking to maximize efficiency.

Manage the dispatch team to execute operating plan.

Working with dispatch team and others as necessary respond to challenges to the operating plan brought on by schedules, weather, maintenance and other factors.

Manager inter-company operations relationships with the School Bus and DeVivo Companies Divisions as necessary

Work with outside rental company to ensure work covered by them is up to DATTCO standards of customer service.

Manage payroll for drivers and dispatchers.

Manage time-off requests for driving and dispatching staff.

Work closely with Director of Operations, Human Resources and Safety to ensure 100% staffing.

Work closely with Maintenance to ensure vehicles are available for preventative maintenance and other inspections.

Work closely with Director of Operations to create and manage staffing plans.

Develop and coach operations staff and drivers to ensure efficient delivery of customer experience.

Work with facilities (Accelerated Property Management) to ensure location facilities including yard and driver room are kept safe, clean and welcoming to employees at all times.

Attend company and industry meetings as necessary to continue professional development and industry relationships.

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in the transportation and/or bus industry

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite
