Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionThe Quality Inspector role involves performing visual and dimensional inspections on machined components used in the assembly of Aerospace and Industrial seals. Utilizing various handheld and benchtop measurement equipment, you will ensure compliance to both internal and customer dimensional requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating and completing pertinent documentation such as dimensional inspection records, production routers, and non-conformance reports. Key duties include verifying raw material lot number traceability, maintaining a well-organized workspace, understanding verbal and written instructions, and showing flexibility based on changing production/shipment demands. You may also be required to perform other duties as assigned.Hard Skills

Performing In-Process and Final inspection on machined parts (Dimensional & Visual)

Measuring dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications

Interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and other customer and industry specifications

Understanding geometric symbols and tolerances

Using standard measurement gages such as calipers, micrometer, drop indicators, etc.

Discussing inspection results with those responsible for products, and recommending corrective actions

Notifying supervisor and other personnel of production problems, and assisting in identifying and correcting these problems

Soft Skills

Understanding and following verbal and written instructions

Maintaining an organized workspace

Demonstrating flexibility based on changing production/shipment demands

Job TypeThis is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 5 months.Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Warren, Rhode Island.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a manufacturing floor with approximately 60 workers engaged in CNC, inspection, and assembly operations. Safety is a priority, and you will be required to wear safety glasses and steel toe boots. The company is focused on Aerospace manufacturing and adheres to AS 9100 certifications and ITAR regulations.
