7:30am-8pm Mon-Fri Nanny Work Available : ) (At our home in Newport, RI)

Vacancy expired!

For 1 person to work this many hours it would no longer be a job, you would be a parent. Lol

TIMES/DAYS/LENGTH:

So we are looking for 2-3 sitters to make up this schedule. We want you to be energized & happy with your schedule, so I imagine having 2 nannies: 7:30am-2pm & 2pm-8pm or whatever hours are long enough to make the work with it, but short enough to make you still love coming to work. Lol Just let me know what schedule you'd like & I'll piece it together with the others who apply.

We do need full coverage from 7:30am-8pm daily Mon-Fri. Sundays we like to have a Nanny from 10am-8pm. The Mon-Fri is the priority for us right now. Our Nannies are both scheduled to depart at the end of this week. Monday May 13th we hope to have new Nannies ready to come join our family. We will need you help until the beginning of November (then we move to California). If you are available for at least 1 month that would work, then I'll have more time to find another replacement. But obviously, the longer you are available the better.

We do have a family vacation booked from June 15-25th that we will be gone for.

LOCATION:

Newport, RI. We live near Thames Street. We have close, free parking options for you if you plan to drive.

2 BOYS:

10month - He is eager to learn to walk. Loves trying new foods. Enjoys watching bubbles, playing with the beach ball & spending time outdoors. He has a strong will - He know exactly what he wants. He needs a caregiver that will not just hear him but listen to what he's asking for. When you are able to help him obtain his goals he will be that super happy smiley baby for you.

3yr old - He likes to play imaginary games where cars talk to each other & robots go on missions. He loves running a giant circle through the house as he races like a monster truck. He enjoys being read a story. He loves going to restaurants for lunch. He is extremely polite with lots of Thank you's & Please's. He also likes to give compliments. He is a toddler though so he needs a patient caregiver that can stay calm while helping him navigate in a positive, healthy way, the strong emotions he sometimes experiences.

REASON FOR CARE:

I own my own company & work from home. It's been so wonderful to be apart of my children's lives as they develop & grow. Being here for them means that my 8 hour work day now takes me 16hours to get done. Sighhhso yes, I really do work on my computer the whole time you are here. Sundays are also a work day for me as well. My husband is in the military; so he also works long hours, but out of the home.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

I'm seeking Care Providers that genuinely enjoy helping others - Because I need a lot of it. Lol

We have a little chihuahua that I often need your help to take him on a 5-10 minute walk to go potty (Baby nurses & the weather isn't always kid friendly, so it's easier if you don't mind). Newport is so gorgeous this time of year, I'd hope that you'd enjoy the nice stroll with him. He walks 3 times a day: Approx 7:30am, 2pm & 7:30pm.

Sometimes baby will sleep for an hour while the toddler asks to watch cartoons. I would need your help doing the dishes & putting away the kids clean laundry (I would never expect nor ask you to do mine).

And then everyday before departing I would need you to tidy up all the toys (even if you worked the 1st shift & the 2nd nanny is on her way). Before having a Nanny I used to buy toys to keep my 1st son engaged while I worked. So you will see we have a pretty impressive toy room that can turn into absolute chaos if not tidied up - it's a very fun space.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

No less than 2 years of experience

Comfortable caring for 2 children at the same time

-Child/Infant CPR is preferred but not required.

-You must have recent baby experience

-Kind, compassionate, patient, loving temperament

-Be able to return a clean background check

-Have 3 care related references from others you have cared for (not including your own children)

Our family doesn't tolerate smoke, so even if you have friends that smoke but you don't I can already tell you the 3rd hand smoke on your clothes would be too much for us.
