Summary: Responsible for distribution and storage of materials delivered to distribution. Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures and guidelines performs activities associated with the delivery of supply and distribution services. This position assists in resolution of routine problems and process improvements. Education/Experience: High School Education. Knowledge of a supply chain system/software preferred. Preferred, 1 year experience in an acute care setting or college diploma. Competencies: · Ability to obtain needed certification(s) from manufactures and from technology accrediting organizations is required. · Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively and clearly with coworkers in the English language · A basic level of skill in the use of Microsoft Windows-based WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK software programs, Ability to learn and utilize department specific software. · Ability to work with minimal supervision from management to complete all tasks with accuracy and in a timely fashion. · PPE training is required for all employees. · All Healthstream courses must be completed on time. Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Generally pleasant conditions. Occasionally required to lift heavy objects (60+ pounds) and exposure to extreme heat, cold and hazardous materials when performing receiving function or distribution. Considerable standing, reaching, and bending when performing supply replenishment function. Must meet all safety requirements as mandated by the hospital. Time Schedule includes first and second shift coverage weekdays, first shift coverage weekends and holidays, some shifts on a rotating basis to cover absences.
