Senior Project Manager
Location: Providence, RI -Hybrid Duration: 12+ Months Summary Seeking a Senior Project Manager
to support the state's COVID-19 Unit emergency response and recovery activities. The purpose of this classification is to oversee these activities, managing workflow and process improvement, maintaining partnerships with state agencies and community partners, and supporting policy decisions. Responsibilities Essential job functions include: Train healthcare workers in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) principles, protocols, and procedures that span the spectrum of healthcare delivery.
Implementation of infection prevention and control education campaign throughout the state.
Coordinate team member schedules to ensure adequate shift coverage; manage requests for time off, shift changes, and overtime; identify and respond to gaps in shift coverage.
Maintain program processes, protocols, and other internal and public-facing documents; ensure timely updates, version control and dissemination.
Coordinate new staff trainings and ongoing trainings for quality assurance and to support staff through changes in protocols and guidance.
Administer a statewide needs assessment of the healthcare workforce to identify training gaps and then develop a training plan based on the needs assessment.
Conduct and convene trainings for healthcare workers (clinical and non-clinical), including establishment and implementation of remote learning capabilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Certification in Infection control preferred
Ability to plan, supervise, and review the work of professional, technical, and clerical staff within the COVID-19 response unit.
Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to a fluid/start-up working environment
Ability to be flexible if circumstances dictate and work under tight deadlines.
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Public administration, or related field or 5 years of experience in public health policy required. Master's Degree strongly preferred.
Prior leadership/Program Management experience in the healthcare field, infectious disease preferred.
Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs.
Experience collaborating with other teams/groups.
