Role:Systems Analyst - Senior - Medicaid Informatics Coordinator Location: Providence, RI (hybrid) Duration: 12+ Months Lead strategy sessions with internal and external stakeholders to discuss and enhance Public
Health and Medicaid relationships and propose solutions to improve data collection, system
functionality, interoperability, data linkages and/or systems integration across programs,
security, and system reliability. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
? A self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
? Ability to articulate and present information using strong communication skills.
? Understanding of health information technologies, systems, or standards [e.g., electronic health
records (EHRs), health information exchanges (HIE), direct messaging, HL7, etc.], and
information technology design, development, and implementation
? Strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written), and ability to work
with diverse groups both inside and outside of state government
? Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, and other related
software
Education and Experience
? Bachelor's Degree in Computer science or related Field
? Minimum of 3 years of Public Health Informatics and Public Health consulting
? Experience working in the public sector, specifically in public health or Medicaid agencies.
? Experience in applying knowledge of public health and Medicaid initiatives to informatics and
their integration for shared mutual goal benefit.
? Experience in Medicaid Programs Consulting
? Experience in data management and statistical analysis, specifically using secondary data sets.
? Several years of experience in program or project management, development, and
implementation of information systems, preferably in health information technology or a health
care setting
