Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
-Delivering a consistently high level of customer service to each guest
-Working with the Hospitality & Private Events Leader to review event details and expectations
-Overseeing and directing the events service team to successfully execute event set-up, breakdown, and service
-Serving food to guests and engaging with them about what is being served
-Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the events menu and tasting menu, including allergy and ingredient information
-Performing table maintenance and following fine dining steps of service in both the main dining room, as well as Private Events
-Organizing and delivering necessary markings to guests
-Preparing coffee and tea orders efficiently and accurately, upholding Gracie’s standards
-Participating in team education on food, beverage, and service
-Clearing, cleaning, and resetting each table after the guest leaves in accordance with the Gracie’s SOP
-Maintaining a clean and orderly workspace, and upholding Gracie’s cleanliness standards, and RI Health Codes
-Maintaining TIPS Certification
-Participating in creative conversations for future improvements and goals in an open forum
-Maintaining in-depth knowledge of both culinary and beverage menus
-Maintaining a safe environment by identifying guests who have over-indulged and alerting Shift Leader
Metrics of Success
The following criteria can measure success in this role:
-Satisfying and memorable guest experiences
-Bartending experience is a plus
-Previous experience of banquet captain service in fine dining or luxury atmospheres
-Consistently demonstrating detailed knowledge of Gracie’s culinary and beverage menus
-Positive and productive attitude and professional demeanor
-Positive and professional communication with teammates and guests alike
Compensation
Position Type: Full-Time (Over 30 Hrs./Week)
Shift Outlook: Training period per leader's discretion. Expectations would involve roughly 5 shifts of main dining room training and 5 shifts of events-specific training with the right candidate after basic back server baseline training.
Pay: Hourly Non-Exempt
After training, potential to make $20/hr., plus additional gratuity after TeamShare. Banquet captain fees to client and bartender fees to client are also subject to this compensation package and would be paid out during applicable events. $22/hr. if you have bartending experience.
Performance Schedule: 90-day informal check-in, 6-month discussion opportunity, 9-12 month formal review

Compensation is determined by experience and performance. Additional compensatory packages and options are at the discretion of the Proprietor and are determined every year.
