Exclusive private club on the east side of Providence is seeking ladies and gentlemen that are skilled service staff persons to tend to our members and their guests. The position includes food & beverage service in a fine dining atmosphere, engaging conversation and ultimately to be able to provide an excellent overall experience. The position would be both serving in an a la carte setting, as well as banquet setting. We are looking for both full-time and part time employees.
Responsibilities include:
-Provide excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction
-Greet members and guests with a warm and professional demeanor
-Make menu recommendations and share additional information upon request
-Serve food/drink orders and additional products when appropriate
-Arrange table settings, maintain cleanliness, tidiness and take pride in your work area
-Check products for quality of food and beverage and rectify/correct any issues
-Working closely with all serving and kitchen staff
-Follow all relevant health department rules/regulations and all customer service guidelines
Requirements:
-Service orientation and excellent organizational skills
-Problem-solving and decision-making skills
-Proven work experience as a waiter or waitress (min. two years experience required)
-POS system experience a plus (not required)
-Active listening and effective communication competencies
-Good physical condition
-Able to work well in a team setting
Please be prepared to share an updated list of relevant work experience and references pertinent to that experience. We are a members only, private club that does not allow tipping, however, wages commensurate with experience. We also offer benefits such as health insurance, vacation time, holiday bonus, sick time and 401k contributions. We regularly serve lunch Tuesday - Friday and dinner Tuesday - Saturday. Additionally, we open for private member events.
