Newport Restaurant Group is looking for a Sales & Event Manager to join the team. Work location will be in Newport, RI.
About the Position: The Sales & Event Manager is responsible for generating private event revenue through proactive sales efforts, relationship building, and event coordination.
About You: You are passionate, energetic and to whom pleasing and impressing guests comes naturally. The ideal candidate excels at both closing sales and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Essential Duties:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients after the is contract signing through event execution.
Collaborate with culinary, beverage, and operations teams to ensure event details are executed to client expectations.
Create and manage event orders, floorplans, timelines, and other relevant documents.
Attend pre-event meetings and post-event follow-up to ensure guest satisfaction.
Attends industry meetings and events which may take place outside of regular business hours
Qualifications:
At least 4 years of event coordination experience in the food-beverage-hospitality industry.
Experience with high-end weddings and customized events required
Must have flexible schedule to work during days, nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong administrative skills, organized and detail oriented and prepared to multitask and work efficiently in a fast paced, high volume, aggressive sales atmosphere
Be collaborative, using a team approach to creating an equitable workplace environment and have respectful working relationships
Compensation and Benefits:
Competitive compensation - $58,000 - $60,000/year PLUS Commission!
