An ideal candidate would have:
Experience efficiently taking food orders while displaying warm hospitality and suggestively selling food and beverage items.
Key Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
-Engage with guests with a Hospitality-first mindset
-Follow health and safety guidelines
-Have a thorough understanding of ingredients & methods of preparation for all food and beverage menu items.
-Be punctual with regular and consistent attendance
-Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere
-Showcase proper knowledge regarding the current POS system
-Ability to take orders efficiently, including online/over-the-phone orders
-Assist with food running when necessary
-Restock & serve pastries, drip coffees, and tea
-Exhibit basic wine-by-the-glass knowledge reflecting Ellie’s menus
-Maintain proper table and floor maintenance when necessary and offer assistance with restocking & cleaning when needed
-Suggestively sell enhancements to any food or beverage order
-Communicate with the back of the house professionally and adequately should there be any issues with orders (allergies, POS not printing, questions, etc.)

-Ability to direct and greet guests at a professional level while creating memorable experiences
-Remains calm and collected on the floor at all times, showcasing a welcoming demeanor
-Positive and productive attitude and professional demeanor.
-Positive and professional communication with teammates and guests alike
-Barista skills are a wonderful addition to this server role

Compensation
Position Type: Full Time (Over 30 Hrs./Week)
Shift Outlook: Dependent on Team Member Availability/Business Needs
Pay: Hourly Non-Exempt, $13/Hr. + Gratuity
Performance Schedule: 9-12 month formal review
