DSP Position available (located in Johnston)
We are looking for reliable, trustworthy, and flexible (female) staff members to join our household in supporting a woman with Cerebral Palsy. She uses a power/manual chair (which folds up into a car) to get around in the community, and has a lift system in her home.
This position is part time (MINIMUM 2 shifts per week) at $20.50 an hour, bumped to $22.50 after 6 months. Mileage is offered as well, at 58 cents per mile.
Job duties include assistance with:
Wheelchair transfers
Physical therapy
Transportation to/from community activities/work
Personal care
Cooking & meal prep
House cleaning
Grocery shopping
Applicant must:
Have a valid driver's license, dependable vehicle for transportation, with insurance coverage and registration.
Be comfortable driving on the highway
Able to pass (BCI) and Driving Record.
Have been vaccinated against Covid19
Be comfortable around a cat
We currently have the following shifts available:
Tuesdays 5:00PM - 10:30PM
Saturdays 9:00PM - 3:30PM
NOTE: Additionally, all staff are required to work one Saturday evening 5:30pm - 10:30pm once per month
