HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINISTRATOR

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Administrator ‘s primary duties include supporting the Human Resources Department by providing administrative support in various areas of Human Resources. A key component for the position will be to have an open and friendly attitude while tackling daily tasks and projects while also interacting with employees. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. The location of this position is split between Portsmouth, RI and Stoughton, MA. Must be willing to commute to both locations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer Human Resources policies

• Administer benefit and compensation plans

• Organize and maintain employee files and records

• Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations as needed

• Assist new hires with paperwork, questions, coordination of start date, etc.

• Assist in planning events and activities to boost company morale

• Provide necessary HR paperwork to employees and assist them with their paperwork if necessary

• Enroll new employees into the Company’s HRIS

• Ensure that completed paperwork for employees is submitted to the appropriate departments

• Assemble new hire packets and tools

• Assist in enforcing company policies and workplace laws

• Coordinate training sessions

• Assist the Human Resources Manager in monitoring and responding to unemployment claims

• Maintain compliance with state, local, and federal laws

• Maintain Human Resource data

• Run Human Resources and labor reports

• Coordinate benefits and retirement plan meetings for employees

• Assist in coordinating the annual review process for all employees

• Coordinate the off-boarding process for exiting employees

• Cultivate a workplace environment that is beneficial to employee morale

• Complete special projects

• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• At least two years of experience in Human Resources is preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred but not required

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to organize files in-house and electronically

• Ability to problem solve

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to keep information confidential

• $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience
