Hello! We are a Family of two women who adopted our son from foster care one year ago- he is 13.
We are growing our family to foster to adopt a sibling group (ages 9 & 10 - girl and boy.
We are on the hunt for some in- home help - driving kids to and fro, playing basketball, making snacks and referee- ing of any disputes! We have two dogs a doxie (Maude) and Rusty a terrier with a back story.
We need someone who ideally has experience with youth from foster care or residential facilities, enjoys problem solving, will clean up any in home mess they make with our kids- but also make sure the kids help clean up- is cheerful, kind, LGBTQ super friendly, and can set reasonable limits on kids calmly. Also this person can be as dependable as possible!
We promise a rate of 15-16 per hour, money for activities and lunches, a decent amount of work (maybe lowest is 3 -5 hours per week with a weekend afternoon or evening every other weekend plus some dog sitting and other hap dashes at times- Best guess 40 ish hours per month ). We are decent communicators, our kids are silly, fun and headstrong. We appreciate the help of others strongly and we particularly love folks who speak languages in addition to English and find hide and seek, basketball and dinner prep a lovely way to spend an afternoon.
