Our client is looking for a Quality Inspector in East Providence RI 02916
Duration: Contract until February 2025
Hours: We are looking for folks that can work some or all shifts, regular M-F and maybe open to 12-hour shifts. They are starting a new shift pattern in the first week in September – the hours are: 6am to 6pm and 6p to 6a, but this is subject to change (start and stop times). The 12 hour shift will be a 3X4 work schedule. 1 week 3 days, next week 4 days. 1 will include a Sunday which will be paid out at time & a half.
1st Shift 6am-2:30pm
2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm (10% shift differential)
3rd shift 10pm-6:30am (15% shift differential)
Job Duties / Responsibilities:
Inspect various parts per work instructions, customer specifications, prints, & sips.
Quarantine suspect / defective parts from product that meets customer specifications.
Follow non-conformance procedure for containment of suspect / defective product.
Review suspect / defective parts with Quality staff for part approval as required.
Package parts in preparation for shipment to customer. Use work instructions, customer specifications, sip’s & packaging specs as required.
Prepare labels, packaging and shipping boxes as required.
Process inspection scrap as required.
Follow Company policies and procedures as defined in the IEP Employee Manual.
Follow all International Standards that apply to IEP’s certification and QMS.
Follow safety rules and wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Maintain regular and satisfactory attendance.
Perform work outside of normal work hours as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain excellent housekeeping.
Education /Skills /Qualifications:
Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Must read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety.
Must have 1-3 years of experience in a related inspection position.
Should have good Communication skills both oral and written.
Should have good Prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task.
Should have good Organizational skills.
Should have good Time Management skills.
Should have good Initiative coupled with a drive for Continuous Improvement.
Should be Cooperative with the ability to work independently or in a team environment (Teamwork).
Should have good Administrative & Record Keeping skills.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word & Excel.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Use of measuring equipment such as microscope, comparator, OGP, CMM, micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, dial indicators, & verniers.
