Michael Healy Designs, Inc. is a nationally known brand and manufacturer of Artistic Decorative Hardware. We also manufacture custom cast bronze signs under the trade name Healy Plaques. We are located in Lincoln, RI along the shores of the Blackstone River, in the village of Manville. We are looking for a part time person to work in our shipping and receiving department for approximately 10-15 hours per week. The ideal schedule would be M-F 1:00 to 3:30 PM.
Job Description:
We are a small growing doorknocker manufacturing company looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This role involves picking and packing orders, preparing shipments, and handling incoming inventory. If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in accuracy and efficiency, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
Receive and inspect incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy and quality
Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas
Print shipping labels and coordinate with carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc.)
Keep track of stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies
Assist with occasional light assembly or product packaging as needed
Operate a pallet jack, forklift, and order picker
Follow company safety and quality control procedures
Requirements:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse work is a plus but not required
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods
Basic computer skills for processing shipments (label printing, tracking, etc.)
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
